What to prepare
- A business proposal covering your technology, business model, team and a three-year milestone plan
Tips
- Applications are open 24 hours a day, all year, so apply when your proposal is ready rather than for a date.
- If you're turned down, you can re-apply three months after your panel meeting result.
- No MVP yet? HKSTP's Ideation Programme is the usual first step.
- Read the eligibility rules twice. Most rejections are about company age, ownership or where the work happens, not the idea.
- Plan cash flow. Many schemes pay in instalments or reimburse costs after you spend them.
- Keep records from day one. Every scheme audits spending, and clean books make the next application easier.
